Jewell Engineering

G.D. Jewell Engineering Inc. was incorporated in 1998 by Garry Jewell, P.Eng. and John Foster, C.E.T., to provide design and project management in municipal civil engineering. In the years leading up to 1998, Jewell and Foster both worked for the Hastings County roads department, Jewell as County Engineer, Foster as a civil engineering technologist.

Municipal downloading saw the dissolution of the Hastings County roads department leading to the formation of G.D. Jewell Engineering Inc. Since incorporation, G.D. Jewell Engineering Inc. has provided engineering services to all levels of government, focused heavily on municipal infrastructure renewal projects, and private land development projects. With its head office located in Belleville, Ontario, Jewell and Foster expanded the company, establishing offices in Mississauga and Kingston.

In 2018, the company successfully transitioned to Jewell Engineering Inc. under a new ownership group consisting of senior staff members:

As a privately held business, wholly owned by employees, the company has continued growing with over fifty full-time staff.

After 25 years in business, Jewell Engineering Inc. continues to work throughout central and southeastern Ontario for all levels of government and private interests.
